Privacy Policy
At Silence Please, we believe that privacy is sacred — just like silence itself. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, written with clarity and care because trust is the foundation of any sanctuary.
Video Streams: Your Presence is Ephemeral
This is perhaps the most important part of our policy. We do NOT record, save, or store any video footage from the silent rooms. Your video stream exists only in the present moment, transmitted directly to other participants through encrypted peer-to-peer connections, and when you leave the room it vanishes completely. No recordings, no screenshots, no video data on our servers — video streams use end-to-end encryption.
Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary: your email (for account creation and communication), account preferences, payment information (processed securely by PayPal), and the reflections you choose to save (visible only to you). We also collect basic usage and device data to maintain and improve the service. We will never sell your personal information.
Data Sharing & Security
We share information only with our payment processor (PayPal) and video infrastructure provider (Daily.co), or where required by law. We protect your data with encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and need-to-know access controls.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data: you can access, update, delete, or export your information, and opt out of non-essential communications. We comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR for users in the European Union. Silence Please is not intended for users under the age of 13.
